The Man behind Emaar

Mohamed Alabbar was born on November 8th, 1956, making him a multi-national entrepreneur. Mohamed Alabbar established Emaar Properties in 1997. Emaar, one of the UAE's leading developers, has interests in commercial and residential property development, as well as malls and hospitality. When the company went public in 2000, the Dubai government owned 100% of the company and the founding shareholders held 24.3%. Emaar announced plans for Dubai Marina in 2012.
